Learn About Our Principal, Teresa Kingery
With over 25 years of progressive business and sales leadership in the Nashville market, Teresa attributes her drive and success to the people she meets. She not only meets them, but she naturally connects them to an idea, a resource, or a business professional to gain knowledge or further their desires. She is known as Nashville's 'Networker Extraordinaire.'
Teresa's sales, marketing, and business development acumen evolved with such stellar Fortune 500 companies as Hyatt Corporation, Loews Vanderbilt Plaza, Kraft, Xerox, and Club Corporation (Nashville City Club). Her experience provides keen insight into a variety of industries, as well as an intuitive understanding of her clients' core competency and business needs. As a result of this experience and her valuable business relationships, Kingery & Associates, Recruiting and Permanent Placement Services was launched in May of 2005.
Bringing people together is Teresa's forte. She is a market leader in recruiting and placement, having earned distinction as "Top-Producing Recruiter of the Month" for a Nashville-based recruiting firm dozens of times. Teresa was the visionary and founding principal of Nashville's successful "Third Thursday" network of seasoned sales professionals and business owners. In 2008, she was featured in the premier issue of Society Life - Women in Business publication, and in Nashville Notables.
Staunchly committed to giving back to the community, she currently serves on the Board of Middle Tennessee Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is VP of Marketing on the Executive Committee. She is past Co-Chair of the 2015 Extravaganza, of which she has still served for the past 14 years. She was awarded the esteemed Silver Beaver Award from the Middle TN Boy Scouts in April 2016. Former Board Service includes: WIN (Women in Numbers) Board Member/Past President; WEB (Women Engaging in Business) Past President; Tennessee Foreign Language Institute; Tennessee Arthritis Foundation; and Friends of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital - Board Member. Other engagements included Nashville Habitat Women's Advisory Committee and teaching at the Christian Women's Job Corp and Men of Valor. She is also an ongoing Mentor to the Jr. Chamber of Commerce and Lipscomb University. Prior to this, Teresa was constantly involved on committees of the American Heart Association, Arthritis Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, and the Nashville Junior Chamber of Commerce (8 years).
A farm-raised native of Indiana, she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor emphasis in Spanish. Prior to that, she earned an Associate of Arts in Fashion Merchandising from Bauder College in Miami, Florida, and was awarded "Outstanding in the Field of Merchandising."
